The Bell Scholarship is offered by the Canterbury Christ Church University to support students living with bipolar disorder who are pursuing higher education. The scholarship aims to ensure that mental health conditions do not become a barrier to academic success.
It is available to both new and continuing students studying undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. The award reflects the university’s commitment to inclusion, accessibility and student wellbeing.
The scholarship was established through the generosity of alumna Ann Bell in memory of her late husband Gordon Bell, who lived with bipolar disorder. It is designed to support students facing similar challenges in achieving their academic and career goals.
