As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being, care, and support of our residents in accordance with Arcare’s values.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Provide high-quality medical care by assessing residents’ health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments.
Wound Management:
- Manage and dress wounds, prevent infections, and promote proper wound healing.
Health Care Planning:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on residents’ specific needs and medical conditions.
Assessment and Documentation:
- Conduct thorough health assessments, maintain accurate medical records, and document changes in residents’ health conditions on eCase.
Pain Management:
- Address pain concerns and implement pain management strategies.
Emergency Response:
- Be prepared to handle medical emergencies and coordinate responses as necessary.
End-of-Life Care:
- Provide comfort and support during end-of-life care, including palliative care.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current AHPRA Registration: A valid registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is essential.
- Knowledge of Aged Care Standards: Understanding of aged care accreditation standards and regulations.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
