Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the Erasmus Mundus MARIHE Scholarship must:

  • Hold a first university degree equivalent to at least three years of full-time study (180 ECTS or equivalent).
  • Have completed a bachelor’s degree in any academic discipline.
  • Demonstrate strong interest in higher education, research and innovation.
  • Meet the programme’s English language requirements.
  • Submit a convincing motivation showing how the programme aligns with their academic background and future career goals.

Although work experience is not compulsory, applicants with relevant professional experience, particularly within higher education institutions, may have an advantage during the selection process.

English Language Requirements

Applicants must provide one of the following English language qualifications:

  • TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 92.
  • IELTS Academic with an overall score of at least 6.5 and no individual band below 5.5.
  • PTE Academic with a minimum score of 62.
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced with a minimum Grade C.
  • Cambridge C2 Proficiency with a minimum Grade C.
