The University of Galway Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship is available to EU students who have secured admission to a full-time taught master’s program at the university. The scholarship is awarded to eligible students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance in their undergraduate studies.
Applicants must submit a separate scholarship application in addition to their application for admission.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the University of Galway Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be accepted into a full-time taught master’s course at the University of Galway
- Have attained a First Class Honours (or equivalent) in a Level 8 primary degree
- Submit a valid online scholarship application before the deadline
- Register in Year 1 of an eligible full-time taught master’s program
- Be an EU student applying for the scholarship

- Certified copy of the final undergraduate transcript
